3-day 2-night camping

This camp is a 3-day 2-night combine camp held by the scouts and guides in our school. The leaders, the Patrol leaders and the Assistant Patrol leaders had spent a lot of time preparing this camp. On the first day, we had our flag break and we carry on with camp development. The scouts and the guides pitch the tents. For my patrol, as i have experience in camping, i had to teach the others members in the group on how to pitch a tent so as they do not know how to do it. After pitching the tents, we change to PT-kit and we pro-creed on to teach the other members in my patrol on knots like clove hitch, square lash and diagonal lash that might be useful. After that, we went on to the activity. The first activity is the SRIC. This have four different stations. The first station is blindfold-man.The second station is trust-four and the acid pool 1 and 2 come after next. After SRIC, we went to have our lunch and we went on flag-making. After the flag-making, we have a sing-a-long session and we are bring teach of a songs for the campfire. After the sing-a-long, we went to have outdoor-cooking. At first, we were happy about it but something spoil our mood. When we cook half way, it started to rain heavily and we have no choice but to stop the activity. We pour hot water on the noodles to cook it and have our dinner. After we have our dinner, we have war-games2. We have to prevent our enemy from entering our territory to find their wooden-chopstick code. After the activity, they have their supper and after they wash up, they call it a day. The leaders had to stay-up till quite late for a meeting for the camp as on how to improve on the camp.
On the second day, we had to wake up early for out PT. Then, we went to build catapot. My patrol is the lousiest one as i never build catapot before. We cannot even shoot the thing. After building the catapot, we had our lunch. After lunch, we played treasure hunt for about 1- 2 hours then we went to prepare campfire items as we are going to have campfire that night. After a few hours, we went to eat our dinner and we went to start the campfire. We held the indoor campfire as it rain just now and the spars were wet. After the campfire, we went to play war-game 1. The game didn't turn out to what it should be. A lot of people cheat during the game. The game was cancel off as no point of us continuing us like this.
On the third day, which is the last day, we also had to wake up early for PT. After PT, we had our breakfast. After our breakfast, we went to pack up our bags and bring down the tents. After that, we had our tele-match. Tele-match is one of the match that require us to play some disgusting game. After all, the tele-match was fun. After the tele-match, we had area-cleaning and after which we had our prize presentation. After the prize presentation, we had our flag lowering and we call it a day.

A Rain-Hike

Today i had a hiking trip after school with my school scout troop. This trip turn out to be a bad hike. When we reach the Hill, the weather looks fine. We decided to carry on with the journey. We walk into the forest part by the jungle road. As it had just rain before, the ground looks slippery. This make the journey more adventurous as we had to make sure that every steps we walk is safely so that we will not slip and fall.We are half-way to our destination, it started to rained heavily. We decided to walk back as there are no way for us to continue the journey. Walking back to the starting point is fun because there were a lot of floods everywhere and this make the journey more interesting. Firstly, we get to walk in the heavy rain and we are all drench. When we reach the starting point, we went to do a head count before we call it a day. We promise ourselves that we will come back to have the same hike again as this was not a successful hike. After sending the lower Secondary scouts off, we will being brief on the Job-week next week. This year DE Job-week is totally different. This year, we had to go as a group and the target for each patrol is $800. We had to help each other to get this amount as the secs one might be new to this things and the amount that they get will not be as many as what we get as they are inexperience.
